Includes terminology, conceptualization, basic script writing, field audio operations, and lighting in a non-studio setting. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Define video production terms; Demonstrate an understanding of field production technique; Demonstrate and use lighting principles; Operate field audio and video equipment; Compose a basic production script; and Produce long form and short form non-studio video production projects.
MC 916-A: Introduction to Video Production – Multi-Camera Introduces students to the application of fundamental multi-camera production techniques. Includes terminology, conceptualization, basic script writing, audio board operations, and lighting in a multi-camera setting. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Define video production terms; Demonstrate an understanding of multi-camera television production technique; Demonstrate and use multi-camera lighting principles; Perform multi-camera directing; Operate multi-camera and control room audio and video equipment; Compose a basic television script; Produce long form and short form multi-camera video production projects; and Perform all duties of individual multi-camera crew member positions.
