~ BIO 920C descriptor regarding requirements for cadavers and dissections: The panel is considering what human cadaver dissections are necessary vs. can be done using mammal specimens, as well as the possibility of reducing the minimum number of dissections down to four. Further issues include table-top simulations as well as observation vs. hands-on experience with dissection of [human] cadavers. (Note: A poll was not conducted since the spring meeting; please come prepared with information on how each of your institutions conduct dissections, including equipment, etc.)
