- Panel indicated that there may be a need to create a new ecology descriptor

FROM THE SPRING SUMMARY:
The following items were on the agenda however there were not enough members present after course review to allow for adequate discussions, therefore they will carry over to the fall agenda:

- Review of the LP 900/L and LP 901/L Interdisciplinary Physical & Life Science descriptors; Note that during course review today, there was some discussion re. textbooks that are used for these types of courses.  There was also some discussion re. environmental biology vs. environmental science.

- Virtual labs & lab simulations:  There was a brief discussion about the panel having a special meeting to discuss this issue.  Malinda will work with the Board panel managers and panel co-chairs to determine if the panel should first meet alone or if all science panels should be convened at once to discuss this together.  The IAI leadership team will also take into consideration that there will likely be different expectations between GECC and Major panels.

- Integration of a societal component - can it be implied or does it have to be be explicitly stated throughout the syllabus?
