1) Welcome & Attendance
     a) Recognition of New Panel Members
After the spring meeting, Mardia Bishop of UIUC, the 4-year co-chair, withdrew from the panel.  We appreciate all of Mardia's help and effort with the panel and the revisions to the online speech criteria.  The panel needs a new 4-year co-chair in the speech discipline.  Lori Cinotte of IVCC is our 2-year co-chair whose discipline is writing. We will be taking nominations for this important position.

    a) Are changes needed for any of the panel's current descriptors and/or course approval criteria?
Because of the work the completed in revising the outcomes and expectations of the writing sequences, the panel needs to revise the panel criteria document to clearly represent these changes and expectations.  A draft of the document with changes recommended by the subcommittee will be sent to the panel before the meeting on Friday, November 4th.  The panel will discuss these recommended changes and a new document will be made available for the spring submissions.
