MC 916-B Introduction to Video Production – Field: (3 Semester Credits)

Introduces students to the application of fundamental non-studio video production techniques. Includes terminology, conceptualization, basic script writing, field audio operations, and lighting in a non-studio setting. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Define video production terms;
• Demonstrate an understanding of field production technique;
• Demonstrate and use lighting principles;
• Operate field audio and video equipment;
• Compose a basic production script; and
• Produce long form and short form non-studio video production projects.
