MC 916-A Introduction to Video Production – Multi-Camera: (3 Semester Credits)

Introduces students to the application of fundamental multi-camera production techniques. Includes terminology, conceptualization, basic script writing, audio board operations, and lighting in a multi-camera setting. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Define video production terms;
• Demonstrate an understanding of multi-camera television production technique;
• Demonstrate and use multi-camera lighting principles;
• Perform multi-camera directing;
• Operate multi-camera and control room audio and video equipment;
• Compose a basic television script;
• Produce long form and short form multi-camera video production projects; and
• Perform all duties of individual multi-camera crew member positions.
