An introduction to audio production techniques and equipment operation. Includes terminology, basic script writing, editing, producing long form and short form audio projects in a studio setting. On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
define audio production terms;
operate audio production and studio equipment;
demonstrate an understanding of the physics of sound;
producing long form and short form audio projects with a Mass Communication focus in a studio setting;
set up and operate remote production equipment;
apply audio aesthetics and techniques to audio production; and
demonstrate an understanding of sound production engineering.
