MTM 915 Computer Numerical Control (CNC): (3-4 Semester Credits)
Retired 12/31/2008: An introduction to CNC machinery as it applies to the operator. Topics will include an introduction to CNC programming coding, set up, tooling, operation, and trouble shooting. The student will understand the basic principles and applications of numerically controlled equipment and experience the set up and operation of CNC machines. After completing this course, the student should be able to take a CNC program, set up sheet, necessary tooling, and complete a set up in 2-3 hours. This will include inspection of piece part as per industry print standards.
