Retired 12/31/2008: Topics include covalent bonding, alkanes, cycloalkanes; nucleophilic substitution and elimination reactions; alkenes; stereochemistry; alkynes; aromatic compounds; organic halides and organometallic compounds; and alcohols, phenols, and ethers. Laboratory required. Prerequisite: Chemistry II.
